Isogeometric analysis-suitable parameterization: Advancements inside and outside G+Smo
Date:
This talk introduces robust parameterization methodologies, focusing on the generation of high-quality domain parameterizations from CAD boundary representations, both within and beyond the capabilities of G+Smo. We begin with barrier-type optimization-based methods and PDE-based parameterization techniques, which have found their niche in industry, particularly in mesh generation for complex machinery such as twin-screw compressors.
We then turn to boundary correspondence, a key factor in modeling the fine details of fluid flow within slender, elongated geometries. A novel application of Schwarz–Christoffel mapping will be presented, showing its potential to preserve geometric features during parameterization. This is instrumental for accurate fluid dynamics simulations and for improving optimization processes.
